UK: Major Government Surveys
Large-scale government surveys are key data resources for social science researchers. The acquisition, processing and delivery of the large-scale government datasets under this service is undertaken by the UKDA. Data are available via the web-based download system and the ESDS Nesstar system for online browsing and visualisation of the data. Examples include the General Lifestyle Survey, the Family Expenditure Survey, the Labour Force Survey, the British Crime Survey and the English House Condition Survey.

Other regular surveys include longitudinal surveys (1958 National Child Development Study, the 1970
British Cohort Study and the Millennium Cohort Study) the National Readership Survey, the British Social Attitudes series and polls by major research companies.
